Permission for Activities Outside Visa Status (Housekeeping & Childcare)

1. Overview

This permit allows eligible foreigners to engage in housekeeping or childcare work outside their original visa status.

2. Eligible Applicants

Foreigners legally residing in Korea with the following visas:

• D-2 (Student)
• D-10-1 (Job-Seeking)
• F-1-5 (Family of Marriage Migrant)
• F-3 (Dependent of Professionals) – spouse of E-1 to E-7, H-2, F-2, F-4 visa holders

Applicants must be adults (age 18 or older).

3. Scope of Permitted Activities

Applicants may apply for one of the following:

1. Housekeeping only
2. Housekeeping + childcare (children aged 6 or older)
3. Housekeeping + childcare (children aged 3 months or older)

※ Conditions differ depending on the chosen category. ※ If changing the scope (e.g., from housekeeping only → housekeeping + childcare), a new permit application is required.

4. Conditions

• Must report commencement of work within 7 days of starting (employment contract must be attached).
• Violation of permit conditions may lead to cancellation of the permit, but the underlying visa status itself will not be canceled.

• 가사·육아 분야 활동을 하려는 외국인이 체류자격 외 활동허가를 신청하는 민원입니다.
• 허가대상 : 국내 합법체류 중인 유학생(D-2), 구직(D-10-1), 결혼이민자의 가족(F-1-5), 전문인력*등의 배우자(F-3) 중 성년인 사람 * 교수(E-1) ~ 특정활동(E-7), 방문취업(H-2), 재외동포(F-4), 거주(F-2)
• 허가범위 : ① 가사, ② 가사·육아(만6세이상), ③ 가사·육아(생후3개월 이상) 중 선택 ※ 업무범위 별로 요건이 상이하며, 활동 범위(가사,육아) 변경시(예시: 가사 활동→가사+육아 활동)에는 체류자격 외 활동허가를 다시 받아야 함
• 허가조건 : 7일 이내에 활동 개시 신고 필요(계약서 첨부) ※ 허가조건을 위반한 경우, 체류자격 외 활동허가가 취소될 수 있음, 단 체류자격이 취소되는 것은 아님
