Multiple Re-entry Permit Application (복수 재입국허가)

This is an application for foreigners who have registered as aliens or are exempt from alien registration, and who wish to leave Korea and re-enter within their period of stay.

1. Guidelines for Re-entry Permit Application

• Foreigners holding visa statuses from Diplomatic (A-1) to Agreement (A-3), Culture/Arts (D-1) to Dependent (F-3), Marriage Migrant (F-6) to Working Visit (H-2) may apply for a multiple re-entry permit if they plan to re-enter Korea within their period of stay after remaining abroad for at least 1 year and up to 2 years.
• Nationals of Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Libya are restricted from applying for multiple re-entry permits due to reciprocity. However, nationals of these countries holding F-6 (Marriage Migrant), D-2 (Student), or D-4 (General Trainee) visas are exceptionally allowed to apply for multiple re-entry permits.

2. Re-entry Permit Exemption

• Holders of the following visas may re-enter Korea without a permit if returning within 1 year of departure:
  • Diplomatic (A-1) to Agreement (A-3)
  • Culture/Arts (D-1) to Dependent (F-3)
  • Marriage Migrant (F-6) to Working Visit (H-2) ※ If the remaining period of stay is less than one year, re-entry is exempted only within the valid stay period.
• Permanent Resident (F-5): May re-enter without permission within 2 years of departure.
• Overseas Koreans (F-4): May re-enter within their stay period without permission.
• Refugee Travel Document holders: May re-enter within the validity of their travel document.
• Nationals of 13 Re-entry Permit Exemption Countries (Suriname, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Finland, Chile – for D-7, D-8, D-9 visas) may re-enter without a permit.

3. Exceptions to Exemption

• Those subject to entry bans or visa restrictions must undergo a separate review and must apply directly at the competent Immigration Office.
• If a system error occurs during online application, contact the Immigration Contact Center (dial 1345 within Korea).

• Multiple re-entry permit: KRW 41,300
• Exempted from fees (per Article 74 of the Enforcement Rule):
  • Nationals of Argentina (under age 14), Tunisia, Taiwan
  • Government-invited scholarship students (D-1, D-2, D-4) upon submission of “Government Invitation Scholarship Certificate” or request by the relevant institution
  • Holders of Diplomatic (A-1), Official (A-2), Agreement (A-3), or Corporate Investment (D-8) visas

8. Application & Processing Period

• Online application period: Must apply at least 3 days before departure (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays)
• Application hours: Weekdays 07:00–22:00 (excluding weekends/holidays)
• Processing time: Within 4 business days

10. Additional Notes

• Applications can only be submitted online if the intended departure date is at least 3 business days away.
• If the departure date is within 3 days, applicants must visit the Immigration Office in person.
• In case of system errors during the online process, contact the Immigration Contact Center (1345).
• 외국인등록을 하거나 그 등록이 면제된 외국인이 체류기간 내에 출국하였다가 재입국하려는 경우 신청하는 민원입니다.
• ◆ 재입국허가 신청 안내
• - 외교(A-1)~협정(A-3), 문화예술(D-1)~동반(F-3), 결혼이민(F-6)~방문취업(H-2) 자격을 가진 사람이 출국한 날로부터 1년 이상 ~ 최대 2년까지 국외 체류 후 재입국하려는 경우 출국 후 체류기간 안에 재입국하고자 할 경우 복수 재입국허가 신청이 가능합니다.
• - 위 체류자격자 중 사우디아라비아, 이란, 리비아 국가 국민은 상호주의에 따라 복수재입국허가 신청이 제한됩니다. 다만, 동 국가국민 중 결혼이민(F-6), 유학(D-2), 일반연수(D-4) 자격자는 예외적으로 복수재입국 신청이 가능합니다.
• ◆ 재입국허가 면제 안내
• - 외교(A-1)~협정(A-3), 문화예술(D-1)~동반(F-3), 결혼이민(F-6)~방문취업(H-2)
• - 자격을 소지한 사람이 출국한 날로부터 1년 이내 재입국하고자 하는 경우 허가 없이 재입국하실 수 있습니다.
•    ※ 체류기간이 1년보다 적게 남은 경우 체류기간 범위 내에서 재입국허가 면제
• -영주(F-5) 자격을 가진 사람이 출국한 날부터 2년 이내에 재입국하려고 하는 경우 허가 없이 재입국하실 수 있습니다.
• -재외동포(F-4) 자격을 가진 사람이 체류기간 내에 출국하였다가 재입국하려고 하는 경우 허가 없이 재입국하실 수 있습니다
• -난민여행증명서를 소지 한 사람이 증명서의 유효기간 만료일 내에 출국하였다가 재입국하려고 하는 경우 허가 없이 재입국하실 수 있습니다.
• -재입국허가 면제 대상국가* 국민이 체류기간 내에 출국하였다가 재입국하려는경우 허가 없이 재입국하실 수 있습니다.
•    *(13개 국) 수리남, 네덜란드, 노르웨이, 덴마크, 독일, 룩셈부르크, 벨기에,스웨덴, 스위스, 리히텐슈타인, 프랑스, 핀란드, 칠레(D-7, D-8, D-9)
• ◆ 재입국허가 면제 예외
• - 입국금지자 또는 사증발급규제자 등의 경우 별도의 심사 절차가 필요하며 관할 출입국·외국인관서를 직접 방문하여 재입국허가를 신청하여야 합니다.
• 전자민원으로 재입국 허가 신청 시 시스템 장애 또는 신청이 되지 않는 등 오류가 발생하는 경우: 외국인종합안내센터(국번없이 1345)로 동 내용을 알려주시기 바랍니다.
