1. Legal Basis

  • Immigration Control Act โ€“ Article 20 (Permission for Activities Beyond the Scope of Status of Stay) A foreigner who intends to engage in activities outside his/her authorized status of stay must obtain permission from the Minister of Justice.
  • Enforcement Decree โ€“ Article 25 The Minister may limit the type, duration, place, or hours of permitted employment.
  • MOJ Refugee Affairs Guidelines (Sept. 2022) Refugee applicants (G-1-5) may be allowed to work after 6 months from the date of application if it is deemed necessary for livelihood.

6. Permission Details
